The European Commission Renews Its Support with One Million Euros

The European Commission has granted one million euros to the EHU Trust Fund in 2010, bringing the total donations of the EC to the Trust Fund to three million euros. The European Commission remains the biggest single donor to the EHU, and accounts for more than one half of all the funding committed to the Trust Fund.
“With this donation, the EC confirms its support for the work of the EHU in educating youth for a democratic Belarus”, says Jean-Charles de Cordes, who coordinates the support from Brussels. “It is important that donors renew their commitments, at the same time as EHU and the EHU Trust Fund seek to diversify the donor base.”
The EC donations come from the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR).
